Welcome Aboard – Andy Kühnke Joins the Field Sales Team
Mr. Andy Kühnke has been part of our field sales team since June 1, 2026. We are very pleased to welcome him to ORPU.
Mr. Kühnke will take over responsibility for the Northern Region and will thus gradually succeed Mr. Holm Sygulla. Mr. Sygulla will gradually be stepping down to enjoy his well-deserved retirement. During the transition period, he will remain with our company as a consultant and will assist with the onboarding process and the handover of his responsibilities to Mr. Kühnke.

🏆 Recertification under ISO 9001:2015
✅ Good news from ORPU: Our quality management system was once again certified in June 2026 as part of a successful recertification process conducted by ÖHMI EuroCert GmbH.
This certification is recognized worldwide as a mark of effective quality management and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the highest quality standards, customer-focused processes, and continuous improvement. 📈
🔍 As part of the recertification process, our processes, procedures, and quality measures were once again thoroughly reviewed. The successful outcome confirms that ORPU continues to meet the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2015.

Topping-out ceremony for our new building on May 6, 2026
“What we build today shapes the future!”
On May 6, 2026, we had the pleasure of celebrating a very special milestone: the topping-out ceremony for our new company facility, which includes a production hall and an office building.
At the start of the event, we worked together to prepare and fill our time capsule—with memories, impressions, and messages from the present day.
It is intended to provide insight into the history and development of ORPU Pumpenfabrik GmbH for many years to come and to serve as a symbol of progress, unity, and the future.
Our managing directors, Holger Zutz and Ronny Kunkel, then welcomed the many guests. In their remarks, they emphasized the significance of the new building for the future of our company: With the new production facility and modern office space, we are laying the groundwork for further growth, optimized production processes, and a modern work environment for our employees.
Another special moment was when Ronny Kunkel and Holger Zutz buried the time capsule together—a symbolic step toward the future.
Together with FREYLER Industriebau and other guests, we then celebrated our topping-out ceremony and toasted another important milestone for ORPU Pumpenfabrik GmbH.
The new production facility will be used to manufacture high-quality pump systems and customized solutions for the chemical, environmental, and process engineering industries. With this new facility, we are expanding our capacity and creating the ideal conditions to continue ensuring the highest quality standards and innovative solutions for our customers in the future.

Countdown to SMM 2026
From September 1 to 4, 2026, the international maritime industry will gather in Hamburg for the 32nd SMM, the world’s leading trade fair for the maritime sector.
More than 2,200 exhibiting companies from all over the world will be presenting their products, services, and solutions for the industry. SMM is considered the leading trade fair in the industry and is a central meeting place for decision-makers, innovators, and trade visitors. A diverse supporting program accompanies the trade fair, including exciting presentations by experienced speakers, exclusive insights from experts, and discussions on current challenges and developments.

Change in management
We would like to inform you about the change in management at ORPU Pumpenfabrik GmbH.
Mr. Joachim Kunkel retired from the management board in January 2021 upon reaching retirement age. He has been replaced by Mr. Ronny Kunkel, who has been managing director for commercial affairs, finance, and human resources since January 1, 2021.
Mr. Thomas Schmidt continues to serve as Managing Director for Sales and Marketing, and Mr. Holger Zutz continues to serve as Managing Director for Technology and Production.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Mr. Joachim Kunkel for his outstanding achievements, for developing ORPU Pumpenfabrik GmbH, and for maintaining the Oranienburg site.
We wish the new management team all the best and every success in their new, responsible roles.
